Which is better?

The only thing working is the tach--that's it!!

So, what gauges are more reliable....

Electric or Manual,

and why do you use them?

I ask because we will be getting gauges soon!!

Elec are easier to install because you only have to run wires.
Mech gauges need a bigger hole in firewall to get sender unit through ( especially coolant temp gauge ) because it is permanantly attached to gauge
If you blow a oil line on a elec gauge you won't fill your dash with oil.
