Re: RFID Push button start!

I think thats pretty cool. You mention in the vid that the button is out of a Prius. Is the whole RFID setup also out of a Prius or is it something you threw together? I have been half toying with the idea of using RFID to get into my house much like I use it to get into work.

Thanks guys,

Zepher I disabled the wheel lock so I dont need the key but I left the lock cylinder there in case I want to go back to factory.

pound Its just the button out of a Prius the rest I put together its a RFID reader and a 2way alarm with remote start and the controler for the button

now thats how you reverse engineer a prius

but KITT form from knight rider had it 27 years prior to prius

isnt amasing how reality catches up to fiction

I have to say that is extremely awesome. I see you also did this to a chevelle. Could you give us some details on the setup, like what all is needed. I know you used a k-9 sombra kit, but do give more details please

Re: RFID Push button start!

I know this is an old thread but I'm doing the exact same thing to my car but I'm using this kit from eBay instead of trying to make my own. Ill post pics & vids of everything when I'm finished. Link below or you can search RFID start
