Re: 1992 v6 fi to carb wiring
Best course of action is NO ACTION - don't cut anything! Everyone wants to hack up all the wiring before they get everything running, then they find they hacked the wrong wires! Just leave it all in tact for now - get the new motor installed, get connected what you need, and THEN see what's left, and clean that up with wire looms, etc.

Even then, I STILL would not cut anything - get the wires seperated that yo don't need (most will be pass side), and tuck them in the fenderwell. These are great to have later - a whole bundle of wires that already have a safe, watertight connection to the interior. I use mine all the time, for exterior lighting, manual fan switches, amnual TC lockup, foglights, etc. It's great to have all those wires to choose from when I need a wire from inside to outside! Make sense? No reason to cut away something that might turn out to be needed or just plain useful!

Re: 1992 v6 fi to carb wiring
I am doing the same conversion . My problem is the previous owner has cut all the wires going to the motor and ***. ( a/c fans alt. ) I have a wiring diagram and I am going to hook a battery charger to the battery connection and find the hot wires by turning on switches and following color coded wires. I agree cutting wires can be a problem if you dont know what they go to . I found my diagram at Austinthird.org/modules/mkportals

You can look at austinthirdgen.org/mkportal/modules/contents/connector this will give you the color and wire location in the bundle of wires coming out of the drivers side.

That's a dead link. Everyone wants to link to the directories of the austinthirdgen.org forums, why? It is not intended for anyone to have access to the directory structure, just the web pages - they don't want us poking around their site directories anymore than TGO wants them poking around in here. Directory structures are for the webmasters, not the general public - just link the correct webpage: http://www.austinthirdgen.org/index.php?pid=19

Just about every wiring diagram you would ever need is there - the C100 connector pinouts atre at the bottom of the page.

The link works , not digging in anybodies directories the diagrams are on that page and that is what the person was asking for and where I found them.

If you click on the link in Camaronewbies reply it takes you to the page with all the diagrams for all years . If that does not work Google wiring diagrams for your year car .
