Bad ground?
Car's been acting crazy. Starting issues, volts drop when fans are turned on, and earlier I discovered that the ground was very hot. My ground is coming from the firewall to the intake, is this a bad location? What's are the best places to run the ground?

Re: Bad ground?
No thats a fine place for the ground strap. I would check to make sure you have a good connection though as a bad connection could cause the problems you describe.

Re: Bad ground?
Oh lord. Added 5 extra grounds trying to fix this today. Still having starting problems when warm(brand new starter replaced yesterday), volts still dropping when fans are turned on, and the car has even completely shut off(acc, fuel pump, nothing works) on me 3 times today, then after a few minutes magically starts working again. The intake to firewall ground is no longer getting hot though, so that's good.

Re: Bad ground?
Well the fact your ground isnt getting hot anymore is good but we need to dive into whats going on a little deeper first. First thing I am curious about when you say everything just dies do you still have power to things just maybe a low voltage or something? Have you tried measuring the battery voltage when the cars running?
