Another guess this plug/wire.

Was under my car a minute ago and found this hanging behind the alternator. My guess is its either emissions or a/c but i dont see anywhere it goes.

Well pics aren't loading and I cant figure out why.the plug is black and looks like an injector plug.As best I can tell it has a red and a white wire going to it.Its kinda hard to tell cause the wires are so dirty.Cleaned them up the best i could.

OK I got one to load.what do yall think?

I agree. But I have no idea why.All my injector plugs are spoken for.Guess I`ll have to trace it back through the loom.

Re: Another guess this plug/wire.

that one is for the temp switch for the cold start injector, it's on the front of your manifold next to the CTS

They 'should' be (light) purple and tan.

Re: Another guess this plug/wire.

Yup,thats it.Forgot about that one somehow, the metal clip came off.No telling how long its been off.Would this cause a hard starting issue? It fires right up when cold but takes a few seconds if its been driven then cut off and try to restart.
ITs a pita to plug that sucker back in.I prolly could have loosened the alternator to make it easier, but I guess im hard headed. It will prolly come back off till I get another one of those metal clips. We will see. Thanks fellas!

Re: Another guess this plug/wire.

It should only cause hard or extended starting while the engine is cold (if not hooked up). If the engine is warm past 'x' temperature, the 9th injector is just there. Even with the engine cold, the 9th injector only works briefly.

Re: Another guess this plug/wire.

Thats what I thought, but it fires right up when cold.even with it disconnected.kinda weird.AFAIK THE 9TH INJECTOR WASNT TUNED OUT OF MY PROM,and its all still there.
