oil pressure sending unit
do you need it sending unit plug in to run and drive the car? Im going do a swap to a aftermarket gauge that dont use a sender, just a line to the gauge.

The car will most likely start and run without it if the fuel pump relay works, but it'd be best to keep it.

That's the combined sender/switch, then. You could just leave it alone and put your mechanical gauge in the other oil port.

plus the fuel pump is hooked from the key to the computer. my brother just reminded me

The extra two wires are a bypass in case the relay fails during a run. It wont hinder running
