Heater blower relay location?

91' Firebird LO3. I know the high/low heater relay for my car is on the firewall/Pass.side/under the hood. But where is the other blower relay. Thanks.....

Re: Heater blower relay location?

Nothing beats a trip to work in the wee hours of the morning and having your defroster fan kick on and off, depending on what bumps I hit along the way. There is a nice pothole exiting the neighborhood that I strategically hit to kick my fan on.......

I thought there was only one also until I checked autozone. They list two blower relays. One listed as high/low relay part #MT0528 and one listed as blower relay part # 19856 and theese are for a 91' LO3. I will have to double check after work to see if they look the same but they are listed under 2 different names.

Thanks for your time. I'm going to check things out in the AM. Give the fan itself a few smacks and go from there.... I think it's the relay tho because I will have it on HIGH then it will either kick down to a lower speed or turn off completely. If it was the fan It would either be on or off depending. mine switches speeds and on/off.

Re: Heater blower relay location?

The relay only controls the max speed, a bad relay will have all speeds but max

So it's the fan? Or the Resistor(in the switch)? I'm asking a lot I know to diagnose going by my word only and appreciate your time. Look forward to the weekend off and finally getting up in there to check things out for myself.....

Re: Heater blower relay location?

If you can whack the box and get it running again, then theres a loose connection in the system. That can be tricky to trace

Sounds like a great way to spend the weekend! I used to be "Fonzy" and smack the dash in the middle and it came back on, now have to rely on bumps. hindsight is 20/20, Ole'girl looks good and gets me to work everyday..... I'll post back tomorrow late afternoon after I get a chance to play Doctor!
