Power Door Lock problem.

My power door locks will not work with the door key.I suspect the door switch that is activated by the key is faulty.

I would like to know if im on the right track and if someone knows the part number of this switch that must be in the door somewhere??

Thanks

Fred

Re: Power Door Lock problem.

Our cars do not have a electric key switches - the keys just work manually, and only the power lock buttons work the power lock actuators.

No it doesn't. 4th gen uses the same mechanical lock. You can also use the power lock button, or the key fob. But you can't lock/unlock the doors with the key.
