MAF sensor?...?

Is there a certain spot on the intake that the MAF sensor goes?
Or can it go anyplace on the intake setup? like does it have to go directly infront of the filter or can it go directly infront of the manifold???

You wouldn't have it in front of the filter Where it would get full of crap

Goes between filter and TB
Recall reading somewhere MAF should be within 18" of TB for better response

Re: MAF sensor?...?

what year is your car? 90-92 did not have MAF they had MAP if your car is in these years you dont have MAF and if its not i recommended getting MAP. easier to work with and requires less tuning.

MAP requires MORE tuning if mods done because it does not directly measure actual true airflow like MAF does but calculates it from engine vacuum

True. I was speaking from my own experience. Map is easy for me. Not right for everyone
