Re: Tail light HELP!!
Pull the driver's side kick panel. Behind it will be a 16-18 slot connector, C208. Cut the blue wire in terminal B (as marked on the connector) and wire it to terminal A's white wire. This will allow the brake switch to go through the turn signal switch instead of just through the blue wire to the tail lights (blue wire is the brake light signal to the 2 outer lights in the base models). If you need a pic, I need to find it first...

Yes, it will fix the tails. Right now, the way you have yours, the brake signal is going through the blue wire and ending at the connector where the tail harness connects to the body harness as there is no blue wire in the tail harness for separate brake lights. On the T/A and GTA and the 82-84 cars (I'm currently set up for a set of tails from an 84), the brake signal has to go through the turn signal switch to the signal lamps on each side. The turn signal switch turns the brake lights, on the side that the blinkers are being turned on, off and the signal is rerouted through the turn signal flasher instead, which makes the signal lights blink instead of staying on steady for the brake lights. Only thing with this is that if you have the 4-ways on and you step on the brake, all of the front turn signals will stay bright due to the flasher's loss of resistance from the rear tail lights (it's supposed to do that, I guess).
I'll see if I can find those pics. They're not on my computer, but I think they're on one of my flash drives.

Re: Tail light HELP!!
There is no part number on any connector... C208 is just what the factory calls it. Yes, on each side, near the wires, is a letter molded into the plastic (it's not painted on). You will probably have to use a flash light or some other light shining on the plastic connector to see them if they aren't covered in something.
:edit: Found it buried in my pics folder on another part of my hard drive... This is the quick and easy way to do it. I think I've redone it since then (or I cut the wire when I pulled the dash out to separate the dash harness from the body harness). Unfortunately, I don't have a pic showing the letters on the connector. Or, as my service manual says, you can take the terminals out of A and B on the body harness side (at the top in my pic, you'll know which is the dash side and which runs down the driver's side to the back), leave the blue wire out, and put the white wire into B (leaving A empty). All it takes is some sort of nail or small screwdriver to push the retaining tab in on each terminal.

Re: Tail light HELP!!
I haven't noticed if the cops are too bad on tint... I've seen several cars that are illegally tinted (that dark as none other with mirrored surface halfway up the window) that get passed by by the cops all of the time. Since I tore mine off a long time ago, it hasn't bothered me much, but the laws here are ridiculous. Where are you going for yours?
Re: Tail light HELP!!
I ment tail light tint i sprayed my taillights and turnsingals and side markers with that VHT stuff. but ya i do plan on getting my windows tinted and ya u can only have like 70 percent on the sides its not even worth tinting

Re: Tail light HELP!!
I'm not sure how cops would deal with lights being tinted, haven't seen too many around here. However, being an inspector, I know you won't pass inspection with tinted lights unless you have connections (unless there is a guy from the state at the station that day).

Re: Tail light HELP!!
That's the hard way. Find that big connector under the dash and separate it. You will need to undo the plastic clips by the wires to get the terminals out. Then you will also see the letters on each side, telling you where the terminals are. In the BODY side (will be attached to a clip on the body and not coming from the dash), take the white wire out of A and the blue wire out of B. Tape over the blue wire from B and put the white wire from A and put it into where the blue wire was. No cutting wires and putting in diodes and what not, just switch one wire in one cavity of the connector. Put it back together and make sure your lights work.
