90-92 electric cluster

I just gt my new tom me 90 IROC-Z and went to drive it tonight and had no cluster lights at all. The heater/ a/c lighs come on and dim, but not the cluster. I have searched for over an hour now and my eyes are going bonkers. Head lights come on along with tail lights.

I took the cluster out checked all the bulbs all good. Checked all fuses all good. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: 90-92 electric cluster

So I replaced the head light switch and that was not the problem. Could it be because a previous owner took out the stock air bag wheel and put in an aftermarket momo one? It's really weird my heater controls light up and dim with the switch just not the cluster is has no lights at all.

Re: 90-92 electric cluster

Has nothing to do with steering wheel. I'd pull the cluster out and see if the PO tried to put in LEDs or something - LEDs will not operate on a dimmer switch.

Re: 90-92 electric cluster

I don't know if it will help you out at all, but I pulled out my cluster and took a small flat screw driver and pryed up on all the conectors that the cluster sits on. I now have dash lights.
