Need console clock wiring help and harness

I am installing a console clock in my 87 iroc and i do not have the female (3) prong plug in wiring harness for clock, so i am not sure what prong on clock is ground, constant hot and dimmer. I am going to borrow power from my radio for the install. I want to test the clock but i am afraid to try without knowing correct placement of wires on clock, i dont want to short something out and ruin the clock. Maybe this was already discussed in earlier threads, if so, can you direct me to it. Also i need the female plug in if anyone knows were i could find one. Thanks

You won't hurt it - that's how I found what was what on my clock. I just tested all the possibilities until I found what was ground, and which was illumination. 4 years later my clock still running strong.

Re: Need console clock wiring help and harness

I just used standard 1/4inch female spade connectors on my wires.

There's a pic of my clock mounted in this thread: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/inte...ggestions.html

I didn't want it in the center console b/c I wanted a cup holder there.
