fuel level broke in peices?
1988 trans am 305 tpi....ok so my fuel gauge was stuck on full so i took out my fuel pump and the little cover at the end of the float, and there was a spring and 2 curved bars with thin wire wraped around them in there and every thing is loose they just fell out. they look broke so does anyone just sell that little cover with the parts or i gotta buy the whole thing

That's going to be one of those parts that is only sold as an assembly - probably gonna have to bite the bullet and buy entire thing - unless local JY has parts you can scrounge - but usually they remove or destroy the fuel tanks as a safety measure.
Hawks has used ones that will save you about $60 over a brand new unit from parts store (Autozone sells for $189).
