installing new headlight module
im installing a new headlight module that comes in the mail today. its a 8k low beam conversion kit complete with new housings. I was wondering if theres a thread out there showing you how to replace the module or any info at all would be appreciated. thanks

Not sure the ehow about the headlight switch is what he needs.
I'm no expert - but I do know you need to beef up the wiring a tad for anything other than stock 55watt sealed beams, and you need to use relays to power the lights. You want your OEM wiring to "activate" the relays, that will then switch on power directly from battery to the new headlights - that way your not overtaxing the minimal and old factory wiring (fire hazard as well as lights not lighting to full potential).
Do a
on headlights or HID and you'll see a ton of threads describing the new wiring "harness" to make yourself with the relays to handle the increased amperage load.

How did brooks come up with the thought that a headlight switch on the dash was the same as a headlight module?
3rd gens never came with HIDs stock, so what you are wanting to do there is a custom conversion. Refer to the instructions that came with it for installing in.
