Headlight Upgrade??
Headlight Upgrade??
I already know that some on this site will cringe when they read this and others might be intrigued but here goes.....
I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to fabricate something to make headlights from an early 90's GMC/Chevy truck into their Third gen? I haven't been able to find measurements of the truck headlight assembly and I know that this model truck comes with a composite beam whereas our third gens have a sealed beam but I am curious to know if anyone has tried something like this? As I previously stated, I know some of you will be all over me about this talking about how "hackish" it sounds but others may think about it seriously. Maybe?
The headlights from the truck look to be around the same length and height of the two sealed beam headlights in our third gens. Not saying I am going to try this idea, but wondered if anyone else had thought about it as well?

Then dont do the swap. I believe the stock lights for the 89-90 something c/k trucks was glass. The OP of that article went with an aftermarket replacement for those. There was also someone else in that thread that fitted the stock c/k lights in his car. Besides, theres ways to keep the composite lights from fogging over.
