89 camaro iroc z eletrical problems!!!!!!

So one day me and my dad were charging my dead batt up and he touched the positive post to the positive post of the batt and a something sparked which probably shorted something out but in the end I have no headlights, foglights, turn signals, interior lights, brake lights, or tail lights. The only lights I have are reverse lights for some odd reason. I need help fast could this be a relay cause I checked all my fuses and everything was working perfectly expect turn signals up til that day. Thank You

Hey Dad, . . . . . . . . . . . . I’m MAD !!!!!!

It sounds like you popped one or two Fusible Links located near the starter.

Fusible Links look like a one inch plastic rod in line with the wire.

Using a voltmeter or test light
(the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) probe one end, then the other of each Link to check.

Hey Dad, . . . . . . . . . . . . I’m MAD !!!!!!

Here’s a typical fusible link.

However replacements can look like a plain piece of wire.

To test a link you can use a test light
(the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) to probe each side.

The fusible links should power on both sides at all times.

You can replace links by splicing in new ones with splices and a crimper.
