Better Dimmer Switch?
So I'm currently on my 4th headlight dimmer switch. I'm only getting about a year or so out of these things and then they crap out. I've had two from NAPA (Standard Motor) and this one is my second AC Delco. Is there any company out there that makes an upgraded switch that will last longer?
I am using 9007 bulbs right now, but that is just with this last switch, the other three were killed from normal headlights. Have also upgraded the dimmer switch plug with a new one that had bigger wires coming off the plug. It's like the dimmer is somehow getting overloaded and frying itself, but the solenoid in my headlight switch has never tripped (which is what should happen if the circuit is overloaded).
Does anyone sell an painless upgraded wiring harness for the headlights? I will double check the grounds again as well and make sure they are good. Open to other ideas, thanks.

Re: Better Dimmer Switch?
Just FYI for anyone searching with a similar issue. I decided to go ahead and make an upgraded headlight wiring harness that pulls straight off the battery as described in the tech article on this site. Cannot fathom any reason why this would not solve my problem as it will keep the draw of the headlights from running through the switch and just through the harness off the battery. Also allows for a higher wattage light if you wish, and I decided to wire it up to run all four lights as low beams, makes a big difference!
