Odometer moving to fast

I noticed yesterday that my car has 28886 (estimate, when I bought car I was told it had 101000 miles according to carfax and the speedo was rolled back) The day I bought the car the miles read about 26181. I had the car since Oct and I dont drive it much so there is no way i put about 3000 miles on that car. Can the speedo he moving to fast? I think all the gauges are bad

Re: Odometer moving to fast

First thing to check is the tire size. If the tires on the car now are not the same size as it had when new, the odometer will not read right. The rolling diameter is the key.
