Headlights and volt gauge issues after messing with distributer
alright i went to put a new distributer on and got the wrong one so i put my old one back on but now my volt gauge doesnt work and when i turn my head lights on it makes the noise for when ur head lights are left on while the car is off so im running the car and its making that noise all the time while the headlights are on. i really have no idea what im doing when it comes to wiring and electronics but something musta came un plugged or something

Well the Distributor is wired directly to the Instrument Cluster, as well as the ECU.
What (wrong) distributor did you try to install? If it passed the wrong voltage/signal it could have fried parts of either one or both.
It's also possible that a wire could have shorted/melted, and is now grounded.

well the new distributer never got hooked up so i never tried running it with it instauled i just put on my old one. the volt gauge was working but then some time when i was driving it craped out on me
