vats wont turn off

vats wont turn off

sorry if this is the wrong forum but my cars be perfectly fine till tonight. the secrity light would not come off it took me almost a hour to get my key to finally read if that was the problem how do i fix this or troubleshoot it i need to fix it asap.

Got a 2nd key to try? ( always have a 2nd key somewhere )
The resistor pellet on the key wears with use and does not make proper contact.
The contacts inside the switch that read the key get dirty and don't make good connection , clean them with alcohol
Worst case , get a new key cut ( and check it works ) before you get really stranded

im hoping it is my key and the not module or the cylinder is there any way to tell exactly. it seems now the first time i go to turn it over its reading but not everytime

Well it seems like if I wait quite a while it'll start almost everytime but if I try to start it immediately after turning it off it goes back to vats Idk of I should get a new key or no lock cylinder or iff its the module or what
