BTW, once I have a decently warm day I will take the time to get all my lighting projects on camera for you like I told you I would.

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
Got your PM, Bad'n'Blk. It would be great to see my STS unit on your custom-looking car. Definitely a cool sweet ride.
I got bad news and good news:
- I just ran out of STS units this week
- I have materials to make more, just need some spare time so if you are willing to wait a few days, I will definitely make more
Regards
Lou
Btw, did you make a dyno pull before and after installing the 1.6 rockers? What increase did you see and in what RPM range?

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
Haha no man I have never had it on the dyno. I did a bunch of things all in one shot, so I really couldn't tell you how much of an improvement it made. I did my headers, hogged the plenum/runners, fulll MSD ignition, afpr, underdrive pullies, and 3.73 gear in basically one shot... so it hauled major booty afterward LOL!
It can push a lot of power but nobody bothers with it.
Sure thing, I will get on it.

The STS module is a universal unit that can be applied to any set of tail lights on any vehicle that uses multiple bulbs. Which set of lights is on your 86?
If you have amber turn signal lenses, you'll want to do the amber to red lens conversion with the Testors Candy Red (i believe is the name of it.....i know the brand is correct at least) model paint.

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
I have more of the STS units available, you can have one for your car, not a problem.
For clarification: these are the sequencer units that you connect to your current tail lights. I do not manufacture any physical tail lights, LED lights or any of that. I make the sequencers that run your tail lights.
Regards
Lou

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
Thanks, Bird. Good pictures.
That is the original-style unit. I still have 1 or 2 on the shelf.
The units I make now are smaller, slimmer and are separated into two halves for easier logical identification. And as an added benefit, you can see the circuit board!

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
Sure, gentlemen, that is not a problem.
I got a few units pre-made, sitting on the shelf, ready to be shipped.
As far as installation goes, it takes just a few wires. In general, I would compare it to installing a radio in a car or an amp. But not as far involved as an alarm, for example. Installation instructions are available for download on my STS page.
I PM-ed you some more information and we can get y'all hooked up.

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
There are two versions of the instructions document but they are pretty much the same, the new units just have differently placed terminals, otherwise the same terminal labels etc.
Cheers

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
Could u please make a video of how to install the sts. Because I'm having some trouble. I connecting the sts and only my brake lights work right but not my turn signals. Only two of my turn signals blink. And they blink really fast.
Please help.

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
Sorry, I do not have any spare cars I can use to install the STS on. I just have my own.
Have you tried YouTube yet? I tend to find mounds and mounds of videos there, it would not surprise me if somebody videotaped their STS installation.
Since you own a Camaro, have you done the wire swap under the steering column yet?
Regards

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
For the longest time (a few years), I could not find any good sockets for the corner sections. Now that I found some (I believe), I don't have any tail lights since the car is stripped down for paint (has been for 1.5 years due to many flaky painters who can't keep their da*n word).
So yes, be patient, I am planning on installing one STS unit on my own Z28. I already have one on my Mustang (don't hate me).

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
I am contemplating building more STS units.
This week is extremely busy but I will try to make a parts order maybe next week and start building more.

Cool, I believe my firebird is a two light system on each side, but I was thinking of just wiring up the rear marker light as the third. Should work eh?
