Re: Sequential Turn Signals...round 2
(Mainly because making a batch requires a big upfront investment into boards and parts and if there is not enough demand, it could take a year to recoup the investment, which I cannot afford.)

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
I put you all on my list.
I am not necessarily looking for any number. I just wanted to let it be known that you guys finally got to me (I kept receiving PMs begging for more units) so I am considering continuing this enterprise.

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
What would be included in one unit? The whole taillight, or just the wiring? And is it for Firebirds, or just Camaros, because I've been trying to get STS on my trans am for years.

I think i want my name down, i want to check to make sure my car will work. From what I remember, the Berlinetta had a different tail light setup, also, will the reverse light still work with white or would i have to paint it red?

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
IIRC, the Berlinetta's tail lights do not differ from stock Camaro, correct?
You have multiple options on those tail lights, with or without using the reverse section.
I myself am looking for the right light bulb to fit into the corner section to use as the third one in the sequence. That way, I can leave my reverse intact.

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
Sorry, guys, haven't started building them yet. I think I will lose my builder too (he's moving).
But I'd love to start building soon, I know y'all can't wait and I hate teasing you and delaying the process. It's just hard for me to do stuff nowadays with two crutches and inability to drive. It sucks but I'm trying to get this project under way.
Of course I'll let y'all know when the build starts.

Sure thing, I put you both down, gentlemen.
KonArtist, are you planning on conning me out of a unit? :-)~
And was it a new Mustang that you saw with the sequencing turn signals?

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
Ive seen the new ones but this was a 99-04 mustang with them. I would like to turn my reverse. turn signal. and brake light into all red turn signals/brake lights. Im not sure how all that stuff works but i'll read up on it some.
I'll figures out something with the reverse light.

For the Z28 tail lights, yes, you can use the white reverse, amber turn and red brake parts of the light for the 3 bulbs you need to sequence. You can buy a can of Testor's translucent candy apple red paint. I got mine a long time ago at WalMart and it was around $6, IIRC.
This was the outcome:
Hope this helps.

I've been going back and forth on if I wanted some or not, but after seeing a car last week that had them I think I'll go ahead and get a set. Please PM me when you are ready for payment.

Blacksunshine, nice engine setup. What are you pushing on the dyno (or in 1/4 mile)?
And what car did you see the sequentials on? Only the new Mustangs have them from stock (IIRC) but I've seen my units on old classics, modern cars, many different makes.

These are for any vehicle in the world that uses 12 volts and has turn signals with more than one bulb per side. So yes, a T/A would work. I put you on my list.

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
The car I saw was a newer Mustang. Don't know for sure what year 'cause I didn't look that close. I was concentrating on the taillights and if I really wanted them on my car or not.

It would be cool if the reverse lights functioned as reverse ligts and the sequential, or maybe they are already set up that way and I'm just being dumb lol. Wish I could afford a set right now

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
Blacksunshine, good to know, thank you for those numbers. Not bad, not bad at all.
Firechicken, I have some installation instructions on the STS page here. Ignore the picture of the actual unit because the shape will change. Instead of a big bulky box with the big expensive bulky connector, it will be a much flatter piece.
If you can wire up, let's say a radio, you should have no problem with this unit's installation.
Dakota, you can convert the reverse light to use for the sequence. Many people have actually done that. You just need a can of Testor's Candy Apple translucent red paint and you can spray the amber and white sections to create 3 red sections on your Camaro tail lights. You will use your stock reverse lights but that's usually not a safety inspection item. You can also add different reverse lights elsewhere afterwards.
I can also offer you a layaway service if you'd like. You can also charge it on your credit card and pay it later, if that would work for you.
I added you, gentlemen, on my list.
Lou

Re: Sequential Turn Signals - batch 7
BidBadLou, did you evr find a small duall filament bulb? I am going to have to look for something small after I buy more of these STS units. I will be having to replace a 194 bulb with something dual filament on a different vehicle if I can figure out a way to rewire the lights on it. I realize I will be swapping sockets also.

If I can't find a builder, I will have to make them myself. Can't do anything else anyway, when on crutches.
