My car shuts off at 120mph ?!?!

Car: 1991 camaro
Engine: 3.1L V6 dynomax exhaust
Transmission: 700r4 auto
Axle/Gears: 89 iroc-z 9bolt disc+posi 3.27
My car shuts off at 120mph ?!?!
How do I disable this.
Let me rephrase my cars power shuts off not my whole car/engine
So I can never exceed 120 ....
Have 145mph cluster

Prob the governor that they put mine wouldnt shut Off but bog until the speed gets lower then 110mph then it will kick back up

the are two ways of disabling it one in the memcal reprograming or two by using a toggle switch and disconnect the vss signal to the ecm. this will cause a code 24 and if its a 1227730 ecm the speedometer would be disabled when you disable the vss signal.
