Re: Very odd...

Those wires are on the inside looking out and can't see what colour you are in order to identify you either.

Identify me? Ohhhh, because you think I might be Caucasian and that was a derogatory reference to Afican Americans?

Perhaps Im Hispanic and I was referencing a Canadian?

Either way, it still doesnt answer the question at hand.

Re: Very odd...

Well, YOU did bring up 'ethnically engineered'.

If this isn't a thirdgen this is probably the wrong site to ask on. However, it looks like someone has hacked off a major loom for whatever reason, taped up the stump, and clamped it to the firewall.

Whats with all the horrible underbody spray / silcone whatever it is - hiding rust maybe?

Re: Very odd...

I say open it up & see what is inside. Maybe just an un-used plug.

Motor is from '92 F-body, Z28 IROC...... I was told. Definately an L98 and casting shows to be 350. Figured you guys would know more. And, by you guys I mean members of the ThirdGen forum. No racial ineundo intended.

Like I said, truck runs perfect so it was something not needed for the swap? Power seats/locks/windows or other accessories? Truck has manual PS/PW. PL run through alarm.

As for the spray: I assumed it was factory, maybe done at the time of the swap for some unknown reason because truck is immaculate, no rust.....

Re: Very odd...

Nice looking truck!

So - is that pic the truck loom, or the engine loom that was supplied with the L98? If so, it looks kind of like the main loom that runs up the other side of the motor in a thirdgen, and the chopped-off bit would normally go to the main cabin connector.

As it's gone though, can't see what purpose removing it would serve, I'm just randomly guessing.

Re: Very odd...

It looks like a lopped off section of L98 harness (read: someone got lazy)

Peel the harness tape and / or electrical tape off and see what colour the wires are. That might narrow it down.
