All rust areas found... photographed. Whatcha think? pic heavy

After replying to another rust post this morning, I decided to snap some pics of the affected areas on my 91Z. I'm not worried about most of it, but some of it seems a little odd...

First, since its a T-Top car, the bar area has a nice layer of rust; I haven't pulled the track and weather stripping yet (won't until its body work time), but I'm guessing there's going to be some work there.

Since I'm sure the tops leaked over time, the floor pans have some rust in a few specific spots: Nothing that goes through, but will definitely have to be cleaned and inspected before its repaired: (pics shown behind both front seats and under rear seats)

There was also this which I found interesting. My guess is some kind of electrolysis from the amplifier ground which was right around here - Thats the only way I can imagine this amount of rust in this place, which clearly can't hold water due to its shape:

Of course the spare tire area:

.... reached my pic limit; continued:

And some of the wheel wells - The first is a shot behind the D/S plastic shield on the front wheel. The others are in the rear wheel wells - Was that started from water on the outside of the well or somewhere inside (behind the affected areas?):

Overall it doesn't look bad but it changes my plan for the car. I was initially hoping for a driver with no rust, but after finding these areas, the car will be completely torn down and redone. It will ultimately be a copper/metallic orange color Z28.

Any input on the rust?

You got a few issues there but most important your floors look pretty solid.

So do I, it's a common problem. I want a rust free car.

It doesn't look too bad, but I've learned on these cars that little rust holes are often large rust holes in disguise. It's amazing how thin some of the metal is.

Yeah, I'm bracing for the worst... Its definitely better than my old 91Z that was REALLY bad; but still, I can't believe how bad some of these cars can get!
