Wiring question

I have a 1989 Camaro RS with a 305 5.7 engine I was trouble shooting the power window switch need to push down on both switches to rise & lower windows. I remove the fuse pannel on the drivers side and notice 4 wire connection missing possibly a relay of some kind. Can anyone tell my what hell goes there and for what?

The windows need no relay.

You can post a pic of the connector in question even tho it has nothing to do with the windows.
(Unless the PO modified something.)

The PO put the switches in series for an unknown reason.

Convert them to stock to see if the switch functions go back to normal.
