my brothers 94 camaro, where the hell is the vats box located, we've damn near got the dash completely out and cant find it, but we're replacing the column because the previous owners bypassed the vats box (and did a real shitty job) so now it starts only when it wants to any help will be appreciated, we know what it looks like since we have a new one ready to go in but the only info i've been able to find on it is "right of the radio" so far

It's mounted on the Pass side air bag bracket assembly.

step 1 remove or disconnect Instrument panel
step 2 removed screws retaining VATS module to air bag bracket assembly
Step 3 unplug

IIRC I'm pretty sure the VATS relay is on the far pass side behind the dash.
