Re: Wiring Connector ID help

Looks like the connector for the A/C pressure switch that turns the fans on. If all is well, jumping that switch connector will turn on the fans. If yours was tied up, there are likely other parts of that system that have been disturbed.

Re: Wiring Connector ID help

My initial guess was the fan switch for the A/C line. But that one uses a grey wire and the slot on the connector is at 8 o'clock, not 9 (like yours). So that one won't fit the switch.

And I cannot think of anything else on the passenger side that uses this round connector, besides A/C. Possibly a rare feature, such as coolant level sensor? If you ever find out, please post back, I am really curious because I thought I knew the wiring of our cars well.

Nope, connector on coolant level sensor in the rad is a single female flat blade.

'87 A/C fan pressure switch wiring is blue and black. The ECM controlled fan should also be running key on with that not jumpered. The '87-older (switch opens under pressure) A/C fps was reverse of '88-up
(switch closes). Wiring color/fan wiring changed as well.
A/C delete cars just had that blue wire chassis grounded, no harness plug, to prevent fan from running all the time.
