Headlights and Parking lights

Whenever I push the parking light button, my headlights flip up. I don't know if that is how they are supposed to be, but I was wanting to know if there was a way that I could make it so I can push the button and they would not flip up?

Thats the way they are suppose to work. My 91 is the same way. the only way i know to keep them from popping up is disconnecting the headlight motors which is pretty easy but just inconvienient when it comes dark and needing headlights

And I was thinking about maybe cutting that wire, but thats the only wire that will make the head lights pop up so that won't work either. I don't know, but it looks a lot better when I'm driving and the headlights are not up. I've gotten it some how a couple times to not pop up but I think that was just luck.

Slam The Door

Replace the switch OR you can install a relay in the headlight portion of the Headlight Switch circuit so the relay controls the doors, so the result will be the doors will open only when the headlights are on.

Happy Racing!

Re: Headlights and Parking lights

when my OEM factory switch died, i replaced it with an autozone (i need headlights now) and it pops up the headlights when the parking lights are turned on. (frustrating) I'm going to order a factory replacement
