SOMEONE HELP I DONT HAVE BREAK LIGHTS!!!

Okay so on my 1985 trans am I had a brake light go out. One week later they all stop working. My hazardous lights work and turn signals works. But when I press the break pedal they don't come on at all. I replaced my break switch, replaced all double and single filament bulbs correctly, & checked/replaced all fuzes!!! I don't know where to go now. This is a stumpier!!!!

Re: SOMEONE HELP I DONT HAVE BREAK LIGHTS!!!

Got power on both sides of the brake light switch when you press the pedal?

If you do, it's probably the turn signal switch in the column, right below the steering wheel.

All bulbs have been changed and are perfect! All fuzes appear to be perfect! All turnsignals work beautifully! Hazardous lights work fine! But no break lights period!

Is the switch behind the brake pedal engaging fully? Sometimes they need a little adjustment.

That's not an answer to the question.
Get a testlight, changing parts without knowing where you have power is pointless.
Do you have power going into the brakelight switch? Do you have power coming out of the brakelight switch?
On vehicles that have bulbs performing multiple functions stop/turn/tail, as I believe T/As do, the power for stop and turn both will go thru the turn signal switch, just because one function of the switch works does not mean all do. If your turns and hazards work you may assume the chassis wiring is not the culprit.
