tried to measure voltage between fuse and ground, sparked

Why would it spark at the fuse? I turned the car on, tried to measure voltage between ground on the car near door and the fuse, and it sparked. Iwas just testing that way of testing fuses

What are you using to measure voltage? If you're using a multimeter, there are usually different terminals for the leads for voltage and current. To measure current or amps, a mulitmeter usually has a fused closed circuit inside to measure up to a specific amount (10 or 20 maybe, depending on the quality of the meter?). Make sure your leads are in the correct voltage reading terminals and try again. You don't need a closed circuit to measure a voltage potential, so you shouldn't get a spark.
