Heres a long shot !

OK,
Here’s a long shot.

I was doing some work under the brake booster against the fire wall fixing a ground connection and took a good look at two black 16 gage wires coming out of their own lumen and were joined together at the end with a grounding loop , one that has the little teeth going around the inside of it. Its grounded on the side wall of the bay near the corner of the fire wall. This does not look anything like a aftermarket loop connection, it looks stock.
The problem I see is one of the wires has a one inch long scrape on it showing what is left of the wire. Looks like about 4 strands. That can’t make for a good ground can it. It’s so buried and tucked back there it’almost impossible to get to it. I have not seen any other ground connection with the two wires connected to one loop like that before so I thought maybe someone would have a clue as to where they go.
I did manage to slice open some shrink tubing lengthways and slip it over the damaged area to protect it.

Trying to get a photo of it was futile because of how buried it is.
Any input is welcome.
Thank you
