No horn and turn signals

Hello, I have solved most of my dash electrical problems, but 2 issues remain.
I have no sound from the horn, and no turn signals/hazards.

Recently pulled my steering wheel, and when I took out the hazard switch, it fell apart as it came out, so I can't test that until I get a new switch.

The turn signals do not work, although for a short while they did. When I put my foot on the brake, the dash turn signals (green arrows) light up and all of the signals on the outside light up (not blinking). They stay on until I take my foot off of the brake. I also noticed that when the horn wire touches metal, intead of beeping the horn (like it should), the dash flasher clicks (every time I touch it). Is this a bad ground, bad flasher, or something else?

Need Those Horns To Wake Up The Cell Phone Morons At The Light

There’s no telling what wires you might have broken or shorted when you replaced the steering wheel so first make sure there is no insulation rub-thru, or open-ended wires, so you might have to ‘start from scratch’.

To activate the relay the
black wire in the old steering wheel was grounded thru the horn button.

So make sure you wire that up to the new steering wheel.

The wire from the horns to the relay goes from the horns to a connector located on the left side of firewall below the relay bracket.

It’s a
16 AWG dark green wire.

From there it goes to pin K of the relay.

TURN SIGNALS:

The signals are disabled thru the hazard switch therefore you should install the new hazard switch before trying to solve the signal problem.

They might have worked for a short time due to a wire touching after you removed the switch.

The brake light switch feeds into the hazard circuit, normally disabled by the hazard switch so your present problem of the brake pedal stopping the signals can be caused by having no hazard switch.

Happy Racing!
