Wiper AND hi/lo switch?
1989 GTA (just purchased): Turn signal stalk is brand new, but loose and wobbly. The cruise control and turn signals work. However, neither the wipers nor the hi/lo beam function. Does the wiper switch (inside column) also control the hi/lo beams?
AC Delco part#D6380C is the wiper switch.
(PS - wipers will work as long as I push and hold the "washer fluid" tab on the stalk)

If no, observe the bottom of the steering column.
Do you see a switch with a yellow wire and a light green wire going to it?
If yes, affirmative to the aforementioned, but it’s probably broken or misadjusted.
But your important problem is the wipers so you can drive in the rain.
With the wiper unit unplugged, key in the ACCY position, and the wiper switch in the HI position, use a voltmeter or test light (the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) to probe the pink, dark green, gray, and purple wires.
Which wires do you have power on?
