Mounting ECU
Mounting ECU
I do not have the plastic casing/ mount for my EcU. Can I mount it using the original threaded holes but with metal brackets instead, or was it mounted in plastic to avoid the body of the ECU from earthing?

Yes and yes, altho I would recommend picking up a plastic housing at your local Radio Hut.

Re: Mounting ECU
Do NOT use metal brackets to mount the ECM. The ECM itself needs to be isolated from the chassis to avoid ground loops and help shield against radiated noise.
Either use plastic, or find an original plastic hanger.
