Rewiring car use c100 or not?

Purchased a painless wiring kit to rewire my 1985 Z28. I would like input on whether to just run the wires straight through the firewall or to go though a c100? Advantages disadvantages?? I know there are a few listings on Ebay for a new c100.

Why are you rewiring? Are you TBI, TPI, or carbed? Retaining emissions, A/C? You state its a 5.7 with T5 which is not a factory combination, just confirming this is correct.
