Engine: 305

Transmission: 5 speed

vss help

Hi I have a 91 Z28 305 5spd...my speedo trip and odometer quit working.Everything else works.My shift light still comes on telling me when to shift.My question is since its still letting me know when to shift does that mean the vss is working.it doesn't throw any codes and the check engine light does not come on ....thanks for your time..bryan

On 90 -92 TPI , the VSS signal goes to the ECM then the signal goes to the speedo so your speedo is suspect
