Squeal and Overcharging?
After loosening my alternator to check for an engine stamp, I went to go re tighten it and test it out. When I Rev semi quickly, a very loud obnoxious squeal comes from the belt or the pulley. Something along those lines, and the alternator seems to be charging TOO much. Almost to the 18V on the gauge when I rev the engine. What is going on here? any help?

If you know your gage to be accurate, then you might have cause a bad connection when you moved the alt.
Find out if the alternator wiring has the correct voltages.
The heavier red wire goes from a Fusible Link, to the positive stud, and should have power at all times.
The thinner red wire goes from a different Fusible Link, to terminal S (the sensing circuit) and should have power at all times.
The brown wire goes to terminal F (the turn-on input) from the FAN fuse, and should have power when the key is in the RUN position.

Re: Squeal and Overcharging?
pull it off and have it tested, everyone does that for free.
I sue the 108amp upgrade alt from autozone, might have to spin the back case though.

Re: Squeal and Overcharging?
Is this a serpentine belt or v belt setup? If Serp belt, did you take it off while you reinstalled everything? Here's my guess without knowing the answers to those questions, is that you have a poor ground connection because something isn't as tight as it was before you took it apart. This causes the alternator to see low voltage and increase its output to make up for the load it thinks it is seeing. The maximum output, plus the loose install is causing the belt to slip.
Just my best guess for now.
