Turn signal problem

Hello all, I have a 1989 Camaro RS that I got the other day. Basically the problem I am having is that when I am driving during the day my passenger side turning signal stays illuminated but does not blink, however the drivers side turning signal blinks. The other problem is that when driving at night my head lights work and so do my tail lights but when I want to use either turning signal they both just stay illuminated instead of blinking. Also, when I turn on my head lights there is a loud beep/ringing sound that doesn't go away until I get driving for awhile. Anyone know how to fix these?

First check all bulbs to make sure they are the correct type, and installed correctly.

A common mistake is people installing 2 filament bulbs 180° rotated.

Some crazy symptoms have been reported doing that.

Now when the headlights are turned on, the marker lights’ filaments are supposed to be illuminated.

If the bulbs are installed incorrectly this can cause the problem you describe.

Happy Racing !

Re: Turn signal problem

Hey all, sorry for the delay, hectic week. Anywho, I traced it down to a blown up bulb and bad fuse. Also had some wiring redone, so now we are okay. Although the passenger side turn signal seems slower than the drivers side by a split second but that might just be me. Thanks all for helping!!!

Re: Turn signal problem

the turn signal is slower because the "flasher" will be damage soon, you can change the flasher, is down the steering wheel, next to the fuse box, it´s a square dark part, sorry for my english bro!! the reason cause the light stay iluminated it´s the same, the flasher, sometimes happens sometimes doesn´t, but will be broken soon, I had the same problem with my RS!!!
