What is this..?

So, I was removing some odd aftermarket stuff that had a not so inconspicuously hidden speaker attached to it (still don't know what it is), and came across this which runs all the way back to the center console:

Anybody know what it is or could be?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, no idea.. I will have to investigate further, but isn't this part something original? Runs into the storage compartment in the center console, the wires you can see exposed there.. kinda odd place to put some random aftermarket stuff, I'd think, but at the same time I can't imagine what kind of original thing it would be.

Re: What is this..?

That is not original from any of the numerous cars I've seen (and taken apart) in the yards. Looks like the remnants of some alarm system or sound system. I don't think it's too odd to put stuff in inconspicuous places when installing, makes stuff less obvious to the casual observer.
