EGR Solenoid Wire Woes
Evening,
Was in the middle of screwing down my EGR Solenoid wire connector into the EGR Valve of my 1986 IROC and the wire broke off the wire terminal. I have searched high and low for a replacement fitting with a wire length and can't find one.
I examined the fitting and carefully drilled down the center of the threaded post and was thinking about silver soldering it back in place.
Now if you don't know what fitting I am actually talking about, it's the nut type fitting that has the ceramic type tower and B-Nut type fitting plug. The pin literally threads into the tower.
Does anyone have this fitting with a length of wire? I would love to splice it in. Or any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. the fitting looks like heck and it's definitely showing it's age.
