No crank but clicking

So ive been working on my instrument cluster and I had the door (light on too) open for 4+ hours and I tried to start it today but I only get a clicking noise. Ive researched a little bit and it seems to be the starter or the starter solenoid, but since I was down in the wires under the steering wheel could I have of maybe disconnected something on accident. Battery is fully charged, I tried to jump the car but nothing either. The car always had a rough time starting so I suspect its the starter or starter solenoid and if it is what brand should I buy or you recommend?

Re: No crank but clicking

You killed the battery. Charge it up or take it out and have it tested to verify. The "clicking but no start" is a dead giveaway. If that doesn't fix it, as mentioned, make sure all your connections car tight as a poor connection can cause the same issue.

Re: No crank but clicking

If the battery is good it could be a bad ground.
