Right turn signal = reverse lights?

Reverse Reality
Did you recently buy the car?
It sounds like someone did some rewiring to cause that problem to happen.
You will have to physically trace the backup lights circuit to find where the wire(s) have been tapped into.
You can start at the left rear of the car where you will find the connector for the taillight assembly.
Unplug the connector and probe the forward connector.
Connect the probes between the light green wire and ground.
Now, activate the right turn signal.
Is there power on the probed wire when you do that?
If no, the problem is in the wiring in the taillight assembly.
If yes, the problem is in the remainder of the car.
