Battery water levels
My car has been dying as of late. It seems to hold
a charge for a day and then its dead. I just checked the level of water and they were really low. Is that battery toast now or will it hold a
charge now that I have added fluid?

I'm not sure if it'll help you now but, Autozone sells an additive to add to your weak battery that supposed to help 'restore' it. I used it a long time ago & remember it helping somewhat for awhile.
It's very similar to the stuff JCWhitney sells here
$6 & some water (if it helps) is better than a $40-60 battery.

Its not to often I get to answer my own questions but here is goes. After i added water (I know your suppose to use distilled) my battery failed an test at the local auto store. I got myself a new battery and then had a bad cable. I got myself a new cable and then I had a bad swith to the the starter kill relay. I got a new switch and would you believe my car actually started! Well have to see where it decides to strand me tomorrow.....

Well it started fine and I let it run for about 20 min. I got into it and put it into gear and it died. It cranked for about 10 seconds and then this brand new, Eliminator battery with 900 cold cranking amps was dead too.
any ideas? Like maybe the alarm kicked in or something?

If the battery is dead, it sounds a little like your alternator may not be doing it's job anymore. Did you watch the voltage any while it was running ?

Have you found out why the engine stalled when you put into gear? I would check the alternator to see if it is charging. Then I would look to something that is drawing power. Like the little light in the chargo area or the dome light not turning off.
