Hello everyone. I have moates apu1 and plenty of chips. I'm helping a buddy swap a tpi 305 into an 89 camaro. I've got an 8625 pcm and tpi wiring harness. The precious idiots who messed with this car screwed it all up. I have so far swapped over to a tpi harness and am in the middle of converting the harness over to an 8625 pcm from a 93 tbi truck that I have sitting around. The injector bank is .4 ohms. My main question is can I run high impedance injectors on this pcm without having to bypass the peak and hold setup. I know over 4 amps of current draw it will revert to peak and hold for tbi. It's a 700r4 trans I'm going to be using a tbi bbnt prom and converting it to tpi injection.

 

Also each injector is 2 ohms so can I run it in 8 ohm series?

 

Decided to actually get a tpi pcm. A 7165 and a couple questions about what memcal to use. Can I use a 305 tbi memcal as long as I run a prom for tpi? Or will this cause issues in timing?
