1982 Trans Am 305 cfi fuel pump issue

Hello everyone, I have a 1982 305 cross fire injection Trans Am and I have no power at my fuel pump. I am trying to figure out what my next move is. I checked for power at the fuel pump fuse and there's none. I replaced the relay on the drivers side firewall that was soppose to be the only fuel relay? I'm lost. Any help would be apprieated.

Fuse Ruse

Trace the input side of the fuse.

It will trace back to a fusible link if your fuse is in the fuse block and not under the hood near the battery.

Fusible Links usually look like a one inch plastic rod in line with the wire and are located near the battery or at the starter.

It could also be an ecm issue as the ecm turns the pump on. Also, IIRC, the oil pressure switch cuts off power to the pump if the car has no oil pressure.

Sorry it took so long to reply I had some personal stuff getting in the way of working on the Zam but anyway I used a hotwire from the car to the terminal G and got power to both the fuel pump fuse and connecter so I decided to see if the oil pressure switch around the back of the intake has power on the orange wire and it did as well. I turn the key with no hotwire and I can feel the relay click what am I missing here? Still no power to fuse without hot wire.

Another note: I took out the oil pressure sender and my gauge went completely past high but when I install it back in and plug it up it says I have no oil pressure while keys on. The diagram says the red wire should be hot in run on my three prong pil pressure switch but the red wire has no power u like the orange that has 12v. I tried cranking without the oil switch installed to see if any oil would come out but not a drop. It has the full 5qts in I don't understand? Is it the oil pressure switch? The parts 50 so I'm trying to verify before I waste 50 on something I don't need

Not all is lost. You will have to buy the switch, that is if you want to hook up a toggle switch, kick the gas on and floor it and hope the oil picks up the 125hp put to the ground. I love yall.
