CCC Removal/Standard Carb Swap Wiring Help

Forgive me as I'm a little new to the third gen world. I've found tons of info on TPI to carb swaps, but can't quite find what I'm looking for here.

I'm swapping in a 383 with a standard carb and distributor in my '86 z28 that originally came with a CCC/quadrajetted 305. This will be a stripped down street/strip car - I want to remove everything in the engine bay that isn't essential to controlling the motor (no heat/AC either). Am I good to go by yanking the entire passenger side wiring harness from the ECU? What else can be removed (wiring-wise) here?

Thanks!

The wiring harness going into your passanger side fender well into the passager kick panel, remove that and all those wires. Wire your fans up to a toggle switch and your pretty much done. It cleans up the bay alot. Just remember that after removing the ecu go with a standard hei distributor or get a msd box.

And you will have to do something about locking the TCC.

Yeah put it on a toggle switch or dont use the tcc. the is also a write up of tying it into the brake light switch so it disengages when the brakes are hit. If he switching to carb the tcc wont work anyways wothout a tps.

I got a vacuum operated lockup switch from Jegs that works pretty well. It disengages when you let off the gas, or you can run it through the brake light circut
