Fans kick in when jumping ALDL terminals
I'm in the process of sorting out the wiring in our '86 305 TPI Camaro. So far it's been going pretty good, and I'm glad to have found out that the harness hasn't been chopped up as bad as it could be. There were a couple of wires that had some questionable splicing done to them. After removing those, the fuel pump and power windows started to work properly.
Anyway, I was going through the process of setting the minimum idle speed, following the instructions found on here and a question popped up. As I jumped the A and B terminals in the ALDL connector and turned the ignition on, my fan(s) sprang to life. Is that normal, or do I have some funky wiring goin on in there too?

Yep, perfectly normal, though the first time I started working on this stuff, it startled me, too.
