Gauge lighting

I'm installing some aftermarket gauges in my 84 Z28. I'm wondering where to grab power from for the gauge lighting? This has probably been answered before so if someone could point me in the right direction that would help.

Thanks

In this diagram , the grey wire coming from the headlight switch , fused by the 5 amp "INST" fuse and leading into the audio alarm , is the wire you want to use for your aftermarket gauge lights . Do not use the dark green wire because then your lights won't be fused , and don't use the brown wire because then your lights won't dim with the rest of the dashboard (when using the dimmer , of course) .

Look for the empty socket in the fuse block.
