I recently was trying to get my reverse lights to work and found the Safety switch was disconnected (unplugged) how ever it started fine just no lights. I reconnected lights work now but the started just kept bumping till it would start. After I removed the large gage top wire (I think the ignition wire) It would not keep bumping and would start normally, at least for a while now the starter will just spin with out engaging for the first couple of attempts then it will start normally. it a 91 rs 305 TBI 2nd owner and the guy before me did not repair except on the cheep. Bad wiring bypass? Starter? Ideas?
